Nominations open for 2010 Manpei Suzuki International Prize for Diabetes Research
For Immediate Release, 1 Jan 2010 - The Manpei Suzuki Diabetes Foundation is pleased to announce the third year of opening nominations for the Manpei Suzuki International Prize for original and excellent achievements in Diabetes Research. The prize was established in 2008, to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the foundation. By providing this opportunity to researchers of the world, the foundation hopes to advance diabetes research that will contribute to the health and welfare of all people.
Members of the American Diabetes Association (ADA), European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD), Japan Diabetes Society (JDS) or other scientific societies dedicated to advancing research in diabetology can submit one nomination per person per year.
A Certificate of Honor, $150,000 USD prize and Japanese object d'art will be awarded to one original and excellent investigator working in the field.
The award will be presented in the Spring of 2011 in Tokyo.
