2017 Award
The Manpei Suzuki Diabetes Foundation presented the 2017 Manpei Suzuki
International Prize for Diabetes Research to Dr. Susumu Seino, Professor and
Endowed Chair, Division of Molecular and Metabolic Medicine, Department of
Physiology and Cell Biology, Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine, at
the ceremony held on March 7, 2018 in Tokyo, Japan.
After Dr. Masato Kasuga, the chair of the Selection Committee of the prize, presented the reason for bestowing the 2017 Prize on Dr. Susumu Seino, he received a Certificate of Honor, US$150,000, and a Japanese objet d’art.
